Buying the Impossible Gift Kids Activities Blog
My married man is 1 of those hard people to buy for.
Yous know the blazon.
He likes stuff that I don't understand.
He isn't very verbal about what he wants.
He oft buys what he wants which leaves very little margin for gifting…
A few months ago he and I went shopping for shirts and pants so he could get to piece of work clothed. After the store-to-store run around, not able to observe his size in several things that he liked and so the ultimate insult of purchasing something only to accept it shrink in the first washing, he muttered, "Why tin't someone just come to my house and make my apparel?"
I laughed.
Fast frontward to the Vacation Bazaar at Liberty Elementary. I was walking from craft booth to candle booth to accessories berth to men'due south wear booth…*End*
*Rewind*
Men'southward Wear Berth?
I stopped and asked what they did.
"Nosotros make custom shirts."
Yeah, they literally come up to the business firm, take measurements, design a shirt with the client with a wide multifariousness of style and fabric choices and then brand the shirt.
"I'll accept ane!"
After choosing what level of shirt I wanted to give (ranging in price from $79 – 149 with discounts for get-go time clients), I was handed a souvenir carte du jour to put nether the Christmas tree.
This Christmas my husband's wish was my command.
In Jan, Trae (my local J. Hilburn style adviser) will telephone call and prepare up a time with my hubby for the consultation and voila! custom shirt.
I went home very pleased with myself. I finally had a gift that:
- He hadn't bought himself.
- He will actually use.
- I remember is pretty cool.
So, I continued my Christmas shopping over the next calendar week. I plant fun stuff for about of the people on my list except…my brother, my father, my father-in-police, my brother-in-police force and my nephew. I just couldn't think of anything. Anything.
Until it occurred to me that they might need shirts too.
So, I called up Trae and ordered five more…
And then like shooting fish in a barrel. So easy. So easy.
The cool affair is that once a customer is measured, the J. Hilburn manner adviser will continue the data on file. And so if I get stuck in the gift-giving department in the futurity or my husband is in need of another shirt, the solution is just a phone call away…
J. Hilburn is a local visitor – based out of Highland Park. They currently sell custom apparel shirts, ties and golf game shirts and accept plans to add to their product line.
